# API Reference

Use `/api/v1` for DumplingAI's Direct Endpoints surface.

Direct Endpoints remain supported for existing integrations, Make.com flows, and callers that need the older endpoint-specific request shapes across:

* scraping and crawling
* search
* YouTube and TikTok data
* document processing
* code execution

## When to use Direct Endpoints

Choose `/api/v1` when you want:

* the existing Dumpling endpoint catalog
* direct endpoint-oriented integration
* the Direct Endpoint Playground experience in the app
* current Make.com compatibility

## Authentication

All `/api/v1` endpoints use your DumplingAI API key as a Bearer token unless the endpoint page says otherwise.

## Starting a new focused data integration?

Use the Unified API under `/api/v2` when you want:

* capabilities like `google_search` or `scrape_page`
* exact provider endpoints like `firecrawl.search`
* the Unified API catalog and Workbench
